Grown at the base of the Palisades in Calistoga, in meager volcanic soils, this Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon blend is still youthful after 15 years. It was aged for 65 months in French Oak prior to getting years of bottles age. Color is deep, dark, opaque ruby. Blackberry, cherry perfection, black currant. Violet eruption with earth notes of black tea, graphite, and cedar. Super smooth but there tannins with integrated and lifting brightness that carrys. Drink it over hours and it will reward. This thing is going to be drinking well for the next 10 atleast.
