This wine began it's existence at multiple high elevation California vineyards in the Napa Valley, Mendocino County, and the Sierra foothills. Included in the blend is Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot from the vintages of 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2011! The beauty of this beast is that it shows the complexity of a mature wine with the freshness and fruit as up front as ever. Really killer juice! We've been drinking alot of this out here lately and thought it was time that we brought it to the front and center again, even if only for a moment!

- As soon as you pour and swirl, you'll notice the dark ruby color and viscosity of this wine. To me the nose reveals the more mature characteristics of the wine; cedar, deep oak, cigar box, forest floor and cloves with notes of kirsch. Once you wrap your mouth around it expect bright cherries, blackberry extract, and plum jam. It has a texture that really sticks to your mouth and a finish that goes on with notes of cocoa and white pepper. This wine has only gotten better and better in the bottle and continues to delight me!
